Dear Subscribers,

DNSdyanmic has been proud to provide DNS services free of charge to the
Internet community at large for the last 7 years. But alas, all good
things must come to an end. Due to time and budget constraints, I've
decided to cease and desist all services on 10/01/2018.

Please take any necessary actions prior to this date to migrate your
services to another provider.

Here's a short list of dynamic DNS providers that provide similar
services. (A google search will provide a much more enumerative list)

  • No-IP
  • ChangeIP
  • afraid.org

    Thank you for your support and sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

      API

     www.dnsdynamic.org exposes a simple API for updating domains through automated scripts.

     The API is compatible with the excellent ddclient using the dyndns2 protocol.

     A simple configuration for ddclient would look like this;

    daemon=60 # check every 60 seconds
    syslog=yes # log update msgs to syslog
    mail=root # mail all msgs to root
    mail-failure=root # mail failed update msgs to root
    pid=/var/run/ddclient.pid # record PID in file.
    ssl=yes # use ssl-support. Works with
    # ssl-library
    use=web, web=myip.dnsdynamic.com # get ip from server.
    server=www.dnsdynamic.org # default server
    login=user@gmail.com # default login
    password=password # default password
    server=www.dnsdynamic.org, \
    protocol=dyndns2 \
    awesome.dnsdynamic.com

     you can download this sample configuration here

     just change the login, password and the domain to your own settings.

     A simple example to update a domain using the API directly;

     https://username:password@www.dnsdynamic.org/api/?hostname=techno.ns360.info&myip=127.0.0.1

     All return codes follow the dyndns2 protocol.
